Imagine tomorrow, take action today

Exploring future scenarios to unlock sustainable action now
More detailed information
In this powerful keynote, Lien challenges audiences to expand their thinking beyond the limits of their own worldview and step into the vast, diverse landscape of possible futures.
Over the course of one hour, Lien presents four plausible scenarios for 2050, offering a balanced mix of ecological, social, and technological perspectives. Through these scenarios, she highlights both the risks of inaction and the transformative potential of forward-looking choices.
Central to the session is an exploration of the "crisis of imagination"; the psychological and cultural barriers that prevent us from envisioning sustainable futures. Lien helps the audience recognize how their internal narratives, upbringing, and cultural context shape their perception of what the future can be.
To counter this narrowing lens, she introduces a dozen hopeful, regenerative future visions, designed to stretch the collective imagination and expand the space of possibility. These visions serve as both inspiration and invitation: What role can each of us play in creating futures that are not only sustainable, but also meaningful and joyful?
The keynote concludes with an interactive reflection exercise, encouraging participants to anchor their insights and commit to tangible actions they can take today.
This is not just a talk about the future, it’s a call to engage with it.
