Félix Denayer

Félix Denayer is an Olympic and World Champion who knows what it takes to build a team that performs at the highest level, year after year. As a long-standing member of the Belgian Red Lions, he was part of the generation that transformed Belgian hockey from an ambitious outsider into one of the dominant forces in world sport. He competed at four Olympic Games, winning silver in Rio in 2016 and Olympic gold in Tokyo in 2020, and became World Champion with Belgium in 2018.

His journey with the Red Lions started in 2007. Just six months after joining the national team, Félix competed at his first Olympic Games at the age of 18. What followed was a long-term journey built on shared ambition, trust, discipline, honest feedback and continuous improvement. Alongside his international career, Félix also captained KHC Dragons, winning seven national titles and four European medals, and was twice named the best player in the Belgian championship.

Félix combines the perspective of an elite athlete with an academic and business background. He studied economics while competing at international level and later worked as a financial accountant at Deloitte before choosing to dedicate himself fully to his ambition of becoming World Champion.
